I’m a masculine, adventurous, optimistic and extroverted guy. I love to cook but love eating even more so. There’s not much I don’t like. I’m a voracious reader, from novels to instruction manuals: I’m easy in that regard (among others, wink-wink). I collect mid-20th century art, decoration, dishes and furniture - some even say I’m obsessed with it! Friends have called me a ’Rainman’ of pop-culture trivia - I avidly watch movies of any genre and I’m into most kinds of music. I am recovering from 2 massive and paralyzing strokes - which mainly had an effect on me physically, but also seemed to open up the emotional, artistic and expressive parts of my brain - I was a pessimistic, stone-cold, closed off & anti-social person pre-strokes, and that change in my outlook was certainly a good thing through that dark period at the beginning. Though my progression in recovery has slowed, it does continue to happen. I have regained a majority of my speech and upper-body mobility. I still have more rehab to go: for both range of motion and strength in my legs and with my core balance. So I am still using a walker for now - and a scooter for longer distances. When at home, I can usually just ’monkey’ my way around, as long as I have something to hang onto. My latest milestone: I’ve recently started driving my car again! I’m also HIV positive, with an undetectable status. I’m into an open-minded kind of guy who has a positive outlook on life, & is confident and independent in nature. And although my interests change depending on a guy’s personality, I seem to be drawn more to masculine men of caucasian or hispanic ethnicity, that are average to tall in height, who have a lean or average physique and who try to stay active & fit. Guys aged mid-30’s to late-40’s with dark hair/complexion. But these aren’t requirements - I don’t exclude anyone, because I find that good attitudes, mental aptitudes and thoughtful intentions are the most attractive parts. slyDFWguy at gma!l d0t c0m.
